We are an INDEPENDENT Society formed to help better the lives of those affected with Attention Deficit Disorder. TADA stands for The Attention Deficit Association. We hold meeting for Parents and caregivers (foster parents, grandparents, teachers) of children with ADHD. We also hold meetings for ADULTS with ADHD. The adult meetings are held for the adult themselves, the spouse/partner of an ADHD person, the parents of a ADHD Adult, or anyone else who is affected with ADHD in their life.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can occur with Hyperactivity or without. The name has changed a lot over the years, but it is still the same disorder. ADHD is NOT bad parenting. ADHD is not a lack of effort. ADHD is a disability and needs to be recognized as such. You wouldn't scold someone for not being able to see the board if they required glasses and were at the back of the room! Yet we continue to scold people with ADHD for not trying hard enough, for not getting somewhere on time, for acting impulsively, ...... the list goes on and on. |
